MVNO Nation And The New MVNO Business Models

On Thursday, May 11th, I had the pleasure of virtually attending MVNO Nation’s New MVNO Business Models Virtual Forum.  The event featured MVNO experts speaking about the evolving MVNO landscape and how to both prepare for and thrive in our ever-changing industry.

I wrote in this space last July about MVNO Nation and how they are changing the MVNO space by:

“bringing together global MVNOs and partners and devised around your needs for one single purpose: to grow your business and expand your network. Our focus is on actionable content and meaningful networking. All delivered in entirely new and impactful virtual formats and face to face.”

Founded in London in 2020 by Ewa Campbell and Ela Lewczuk, MNVO Nation has quickly established itself as the go-to organization for everything aspiring MVNOs need to know when entering the MVNO market.  I was appointed their United States Ambassador in late 2022 and MVNO Nation has plans to enter the US Market in 2024.

Their virtual event on May 11th was the first of two parts with the next session scheduled for May 24th.  That event will allow you to “hear from the new MVNOs in the market and find out what they are bringing to the proverbial MVNO party, what makes them unique, and how they work together.”

Further below, I’ve attached the video of the May 11th session which runs just under two hours.  It’s a great investment of your time as you’ll hear about the following topics:

  • Establishing a Fully Digital MVNO from IceMobil (Norway)
  • The Changing Face of eCommerce from OpenCloudBSS
  • Catering to the Various Customer Niches from Mellon Mobile
  • Becoming a Connectivity Platform from Prune

What Is In The MVNO Crystal Ball?

Our industry is constantly changing with new entrants like MobileX, issues surrounding pending acquisitions (Ultra/Mint/Plum by T-Mobile), and questions on whether established MVNOs can survive under new owners (Boost/Dish and Tracfone/Verizon).  Will Big Cable continue to add wireless subscribers at the incredible rate that they are (Charter added 686,000 in Q1, 2023!)?  Combined, Charter and Comcast now have over 11.6 MILLION mobile customers!  And with the NCTC entering into an agreement with Reach Mobile, traditional cable companies will continue to gain market share.

I’ll keep this week’s article short as I want you to click on the link above and watch Part I of MVNO Nations’ New MVNO’s Business Model Video.  Now more than ever it’s time to re-examine your strategies to succeed in our ever-changing business.

Hope to see you at Mobile Disrupt (Las Vegas) and Mobile World Congress (Amsterdam), both coming up in June.

Until then, GOOD SELLING!!
